Lessons are typically 30 minutes in length on a weekly basis. Tuition is charged at a flat rate by the month and is not lowered for missed lessons, vacations or holidays. Lessons are year round and regularly scheduled breaks and holidays are listed on the calendar. Tuition is calculated annually and payable monthly at the first lesson of the month. Fees are $70/month for 30 minute lessons; $120/month for one hour (whether for one student or two half hour students in the same immediate family). Students over age 60 may take a $5 discount per month.
Books and materials are not included in the lesson fee. They will be purchased by the teacher and billed to the student to be paid when the next payment is due.
The monthly fee is due on the first scheduled lesson date of the month. There is a $25.00 charge for any checks that are returned. Should there be a second occurrence, future payments must be made in cash. Payments made after the 10th of the month are subject to a $5 late charge (unless we are scheduled to be off the first week of the month). Online payment is available HERE
Missed Lessons/Canceled Lessons/Vacations
Students are encouraged to attend as many lessons as possible. No refunds or make up lessons will be given for missed lessons or leaves of absence, but extra time may be offered if it is available. If lessons are canceled by the teacher other than dates listed on the calendar a price adjustment will be made. In the case of inclement weather we will decide case-by-case and if we cancel lessons you will be issued a credit in the following month.
Lessons continue as usual during the summer months. If you wish to take a leave of absence during the summer your same time slot cannot be guaranteed when you start back. Also, much progress is lost when students do not take lessons during the summer.
The studio will take vacation periodically and these times will be announced ahead of time and posted on the calendar on the website. You are not charged for studio vacation, holiday weeks and other breaks during the year, they have already been accounted for in the price of lessons.
Facebook page, YouTube, and Instagram, and other social media accounts are maintained for the purpose of 1. communicating with parents and students to make information readily available regarding lessons and reminders about dates, and 2. to provide recognition for students. Periodically, pictures and videos of students and/or other files will be posted on these pages, although students are referred to only by first name if such files are displayed on the Internet. You may opt out if you prefer.
