During the Coronavirus crisis, we will be migrating to online lessons via Zoom, beginning April 6, 2020. Here is an overview:
Once your meeting time has been established, you will be sent a link that you can use to join the meeting (video conference) in Zoom. Copy and paste the link into your browser and you probably will not need to download anything. If you are prompted, select YES and proceed. You will then enter the 'waiting room' until I click you in and then the lesson will proceed.
You will need:
1. A phone, tablet, or laptop with good Internet (make sure your device is fully charged, or keep it plugged in during lesson time)
2. A link to join the meeting (I will send it to you)
3. An adult available to assist with technical issues (for children)
4. Screenshots of any music you are working on that I don't have copies of (text or email to me)
Loud background noises
Other members of the household streaming games or movies that could slow down the Internet connection during your lesson time
Each lesson will be recorded, and you may request a copy of that video if you would like one.
We will continue with online lessons until the social distancing recommendations are lifted.
Here is an example of how to position your device on your end so I can see you and your hands as you play (you can place it in a chair or prop it up on something if you don't have a stand or tripod that will work, just improvise!):
